Sue

Retired June’24

Many will recognize Sue at the reception desk where she has been assisting our clients and greeting their pets since 2002. Leading up to her position in our clinic, Sue spent many years in retail and office management but the veterinary field was a new adventure for her. Needless to say, there was much to learn! Over the years, with the guidance of her peers, continuing education and her love for learning, Sue has come to fill her position with skill and confidence. Having completed many courses in pet nutrition, she is able to effectively counsel our clients on their pets dietary requirements.  For Sue, it feels that everyone who comes through the door is a friend and she loves to assist them and visit with their pets. Her position at the clinic has few barriers and Sue is kept very busy booking appointments, ordering supplies, and managing the ebb and flow of the busy waiting room.

With both of their sons grown and busy with their own lives, Sue and her husband are empty nesters now and recently adopted Bailey, a seven year old cat in May of 2017.  They sadly said goodbye to their cat Marvel, who was 17 years old, in March 2017. Three wonderful grandchildren round out Sue’s family outside the clinic and continually amaze and delight her.

Bailey is a friendly, sociable and curious cat that is fun to be around. He sometimes acts like a little dog, following people around the house. He is so happy when his masters return home and the games are on then!

Sue enjoys spending her time reading, learning to play the piano, and creating useful and whimsical items from re-purposed supplies (some of these items are periodically found at the clinic as a means of fundraising for the Farley Foundation)

Sue looks forward to continually serving and meeting our patients and their owners for many years to come.
