Dr. Linda Bolton

Veterinarian

Dr. Linda Bolton graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 1984. She worked for 5 years in the Grey Bruce area practicing on large and small animals after graduation. In 1993 Dr. Bolton purchased Mullen Small Animal Clinic with Dr. Sally Parks. The rest is history!

Dr. Bolton enjoys doing surgery and has taken a number of advanced orthopedic and other surgical and dental courses. She loves meeting the clinic’s wonderful clients and helping them with the health of their animals.

Dr. Bolton acquired a Border Collie puppy in January of 2023. Her name is Miss Cider and she is as cute as a button. Dr. Bolton has had 3 previous Border Collies, two Yorkshire Terriers, and a Labrador Retriever, all of whom she chose to become part of her family. In May of 2013 she rescued an energetic female dog now called Two Paws from Wabaseemoong Independent Nation in Northern Ontario. Two Paws did not have an owner and grew up at the community dump. She had suffered a chainsaw injury, a fractured shoulder and had many BB pellets in her body. She lived a great life for ten years until she developed lung cancer in the fall of 2023. Dr. Bolton has also had many other dogs that she has acquired that either had illnesses the owners couldn’t afford to look after, or behavior problems, or lost their owner.

Dr. Bolton loves to garden. She gardens in the bush surrounding her house in the country outside Hanover. She has over 185 different kinds of Hostas and many other woodland plants. She also enjoys long distance lane swimming, quilting and taking lots of walks in the country with the dogs and grandpuppies. She has also a group of chickens that eventually retire after laying eggs.

In 2009 she received an Award of Merit from the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association for volunteerism. She has visited many different remote and semi-remote First Nations Communities to assist them in dog spays and neuters and basic veterinary care since 2005. In 2011 she formed a veterinary group called the Grey Bruce Aboriginal Qimmiq Team. The team is a non profit, charitable organization that is growing every year.
